TWO ensures access to safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene awareness through community-driven interventions that prioritize sustainability and inclusivity. Our initiatives focus on addressing the root causes of water insecurity and poor sanitation in underserved areas, enabling communities to live healthier and more dignified lives. We construct hand pumps, deep water wells, and solar-powered water supply systems, while also rehabilitating existing PHED water supply schemes to ensure long-term functionality. Alongside infrastructure development, we work with communities to raise awareness on safe hygiene practices such as handwashing, water storage, and menstrual hygiene management. By integrating capacity-building activities and fostering local ownership, we strengthen resilience against waterborne diseases and promote behavior change that leads to lasting improvements in public health.

TWO supports communities to adapt and respond effectively to the growing impacts of climate change by integrating disaster risk reduction, sustainable natural resource management, and the development of climate-resilient infrastructure. Our approach emphasizes community participation, ensuring that local knowledge and practices are incorporated into strategies that strengthen resilience against floods, droughts, and other climate-induced shocks. We work to restore ecosystems, promote sustainable farming and water management practices, and encourage renewable energy solutions that reduce environmental degradation. At the same time, TWO raises awareness on climate change and empowers vulnerable populations to design and implement local solutions that safeguard their livelihoods.

We strengthen access to quality healthcare through primary health services, maternal and child health (MCH) care, nutrition education, and Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support (MHPSS). TWO partners with government health departments and local facilities to improve service delivery for vulnerable groups, including refugees and remote rural communities. Health promotion sessions and capacity building for health workers are integral to our approach.TWO empowers marginalized children and youth through formal and non-formal education, Accelerated Learning Programs, and skills development initiatives. We build the capacity of Parent-Teacher Councils (PTCs) to improve school governance and strengthen community engagement in education. Our work includes infrastructure development such as additional classrooms and school facilities, and the provision of school supplies to enhance learning outcomes for girls, orphans, and children with disabilities.

TWO is committed to safeguarding children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence through comprehensive child protection interventions. We work closely with families, communities, and local authorities to establish protective environments where children can grow in safety and dignity. Our programs include awareness-raising campaigns, psychosocial support, case management services, and referral mechanisms to ensure timely assistance for vulnerable children. We strengthen community-based child protection systems by training caregivers, teachers, and local leaders to identify risks, respond effectively, and uphold children’s rights. TWO also promotes child participation, empowering boys and girls to voice their concerns and contribute to decisions that affect their lives. Through advocacy and collaboration with government institutions, we work to improve laws, policies, and services that protect children, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive free from harm.

TWO enhances household food security and economic resilience by combining sustainable livelihoods support with innovative skills development opportunities. We empower vulnerable families through vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and agricultural development initiatives that promote self-reliance and long-term income generation. Our programs focus on strengthening value chains, introducing climate-smart agricultural practices, and facilitating access to markets so that farmers and small business owners can improve productivity and profitability. Recognizing the importance of inclusive growth, we integrate digital learning and technology-driven opportunities to equip youth and women with market-relevant skills, enabling them to participate more actively in local economies. In times of crisis, TWO provides targeted food assistance to bridge immediate nutritional gaps, ensuring that the most vulnerable households are supported while they work toward building sustainable futures.
